À propos de cette publication

Activités répulsives, irritantes et toxiques d'huiles essentielles contre le moustique vecteur de la fièvre jaune, Aedes aegypti. Repulsive, irritant and toxic activities of essential oils against yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti Blood-feeding insects transmit deadly diseases and viruses to hundreds of millions of people, causing immense suffering and more than a million deaths every year [1]. For instance, the yellow fever mosquito, Aedes aegypti, has a worldwide distribution in the tropics and subtropics where it is the main vector of dengue and yellow fever viruses. A. aegypti is now well established in Martinique (French West Indies) where it causes public health problems. Insect repellents can be very effective in reducing disease transmission by blocking contact between blood-seeking insects and humans.
